We are looking for a Kubernetes Security Architect to define and improve the security posture of containerized and cloud-native environments. This role is ideal for someone who understands how modern platforms are built, how they fail, and how to secure them without slowing down engineering teams.
What you will do
Design secure Kubernetes and container platform architectures across development, staging, and production environments
Define standards for workload isolation, identity, secrets management, network controls, admission policies, and runtime security
Review cluster designs, deployment patterns, service mesh implementations, and supply chain controls
Build guardrails and reference patterns for platform and application teams
Partner with DevOps, platform engineering, and security teams to improve resilience and reduce operational risk
Support incident response, threat modeling, and architecture reviews for cloud-native systems
What we are looking for
Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native infrastructure
Strong understanding of platform security fundamentals including RBAC, pod security, network policies, service accounts, secrets, policy enforcement, and runtime controls
Experience with major cloud providers and managed Kubernetes offerings
Familiarity with infrastructure as code, CI/CD security, software supply chain security, and observability stacks
Ability to translate security requirements into practical architecture decisions
Strong written communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to have
Experience with Kubernetes policy engines, service meshes, CNIs, or runtime security platforms
Knowledge of compliance requirements in cloud-native environments
Background in platform engineering or site reliability engineering
Experience securing multi-cluster or multi-tenant environments
